Our Story
Nuala Leonard is the current All Ireland Slam Champion 2017-2018, winning her title in Enniskillen last October. She will represent Ireland at the European Slam Championships in Budapest this December. She has performed her poems in every part of the country and these performances have been described as ‘moving’, ‘witty’, ‘powerful’ and ‘tremendous’.
‘Nuala goes right through the brick wall to make new slabs and shapes that are sometimes difficult to witness cause it’s the real s**t she is presenting to us here instead of some old guff’: Jinx Lennon.
Nuala is originally from Killala in Co. Mayo and now lives with her partner and their kids in Lobinstown, Co. Meath.
