ENJOYING A VERY SPECIAL PIECE OF WW2 IN 2026

Who could have foreseen this scene in 1941 ? Our 'EIRE" WW2 memorial at Hawk Cliff below Vico Road in Dalkey has become one of the most popular places to visit since first excavated by our Dalkey Tidy Towns team in 2018. Currently being repainted, thank you all for not walking over the white surface. It is brittle and footprints destroy the structure. PLEASE HELP US TO PRESERVE THIS VERY SPECIAL WW2 INSTALLATION - one of very few of the original 83 such constructions to still survive - thanks to our Dalkey Tidy Towns volunteers and friends.
