The weekend features a number of traditional performers who have recently launched CD's. On Friday, A CD launch event takes place in The Loch Garman Arms Hotel at 7.30 p.m. featuring 'The Lads of Laois' by The Harvey Brothers and 'fairy Island' by Ryan O'Donnell and Tracy Ryan. This is a FREE event. It's followed by an open traditional music session at c. 10 p.m. which will feature a group of SPECIAL GUESTS who are going to give Gorey a 'sneak-peek' of their new album (LONG awaited within trad circles)...the album will not be available until later in the year...so this will be one to be unmissable...

Our good friends in Tuaisceart Loch Garman CCE have upoaded the workshop programme for Cuisle Cheoil Weekend. Links are also active on our new website!

As part of the Cuisle Cheoil Weekend we are hosting music, singing & set dancing workshops in Gorey Central and the Loch Garman Arms on Saturday 22nd August from 10.00am - 12.30pm. €20 for music & singing workshops and €10 for set dancing workshops. The tutors are:

Padraig MacAodhgan - concertina

Ryan O’ Donnell – accompaniment

Robert Harvey – tin whistle

Tracy Ryan – singing

Cuisle Cheoil Weekend welcome the return of the brilliant Templehouse Trio to play for the set dancing céilí in the Loch Garman Arms Hotel on Sunday afternoon August 23rd. Should be a great afternoon of setts with Liz and Syl returning to North Wexford as callers. Bígí linn!

We can finally officially announce the dates for the revived Cuisle Cheoil Weekend in Gorey. The 2026 festival will run from Thursday August 20th to Sunday August 23rd. It will feature recitals , music and singing sessions, workshops in various instruments and in singing/dancing, a set-dancing céilí and lectures and presentations, all taking place around Gorey's Main Street. Full listings and schedules will be uploaded soon.
