Shooting Stars Choir Based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, Shooting Stars is a welcoming community choir that brings people together through music. No auditions – just a love of music!

As we wind down on what has been an incredible December, we want to pause and recognise the woman behind it all.
It’s not often that you bring together a group of people who gel so naturally, let alone grow it into a 50-strong community choir.
None of this would have happened without our choir director Eileen Foley.

Through her dedication, guidance and belief in us, she has given us confidence, encouragement and a real sense of belonging. She brings out the best in each of us and somehow makes us stronger together.
So take a bow our Eileen, and enjoy a very well-earned rest.

Yesterday, we sang in Dublin Airport for an hour and a half and, thanks to your unbelievable generosity, raised an incredible €870 for the Irish Cancer Society

What a way to round off a rollercoaster of a December.

As the poster says, “Your generosity knows no bounds.” In arrivals, as people came home for Christmas, the kindness we met was overwhelming.

Moments like this remind us just how special our little island is. Thank you to every single person who stopped, listened, donated, or shared a smile - it meant more than you’ll ever know 💛
