Creating our Future!
Genie in a Headset was born from a desire to be able to live in a dream before it is realized inspired by my beautiful mom. She is what I call a true honey pot, always the life of the party, inspiring people and a real life agony aunt who always had time for a cup of tea with an open ear to listen. She made people feel great about themselves, which is why it was so sad that for someone who used to make people so happy she died so unhappy. It was as if she had given up on her dreams and hope had completely abandoned her. My mom was a dreamer, she wanted more from life but as time went on it was as if she was resigning to herself to her doubt, letting it take over, and not knowing any better, thinking that was it. Sometimes I wonder if she was given the opportunity to know better, to fight another day, to be able to taste a little success in her dream life, that maybe just maybe she wouldn’t have given up so easily. I don’t want people to die like my mom. I want people to truly live, falling in love with their life, with every moment. I want people to believe that they do have what it takes and to not let other people who don’t know any better to steal their dreams. I want you to BELIEVE and to be able to FEEL what it is like to taste SUCCESS before you drink from its cup.
This was something I struggled to do when I was on my journey of self discovery. And because I struggled with believing I could be successful, I struggled to feel and see it in my mind. Then I discovered Virtual Reality! What if we could immerse our selves in our experiences of success, places we want to go and people we want to become, to experience what it is like. We could instantly fall in love with the feeling, giving us that desire to do what it takes to make it come true in our real world, but being able to step into our virtual one when we needed a little extra push!
Yes! I thought - having your own personal Genie will certainly have its advantages.. Have a Genie in your virtual world and becoming Genie in your real one!
