at spans the very best of The Doors repertoire presenting the perfect facsimile of the Jim Morrison era, and this seminal sixties group. The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore. The band took its name from Aldous Huxley's book The Doors of Perception, the title of which was a reference to a William Blake quotation: "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. They were among the most controversial rock acts of the 1960s, due mostly to Morrison's wild, poetic lyrics and charismatic but unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death in 1971, the remaining members continued as a trio until finally disbanding in 1973. The Roadhouse Doors present an authentic recreation of The Doors music with the highest respect, admiration and accuracy the originals genius truly deserves. Our passion for their music leaves the audience reeling in the psychedelic blues experience of the California greats, 50 year history. From LA Woman, Riders on the Storm to Light My Fire and of course Roadhouse Blues. The Doors of perception shall open.

Sadly, a very talented Irish singer-songwriter, Glen Hansard, just crossed the motorcycle tracks. He picked up an Oscar for his charming song "Falling Slowly," for the film "Once". I had the pleasure of singing backup with him on Neil Young - Reprise Records "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World" for Eddie Vedder's solo tour. RIP, Glen.
