The Sophisticats The Sophisticats' is a six piece band consisting of Lead Vocals, Piano, Double Bass, Drums and a Two piece Brass section.

The Sophisticats 6 piece band brings the great sound and glamour of the Jazz Age to any event - with hits old and new in styles as diverse as Swing , Salsa and Funk it is guaranteed to keep the dance floor full all night! Our live act recreates for you the exuberance and glamour of the Jazz Age - think one part Great Gatsby, one part 'Rat Pack' , one part Postmodern Jukebox with 'vintage takes' on

more contemporary artists as diverse as Guns and Roses, Michael Jackson and Rihanna! High energy, unforgettable and filled with Swing and Latin beats, our set is guaranteed to keep the dance floor full all night! We pride ourselves on our professionalism: our line-up are all highly trained and experienced musicians who between them have played at prestigious events such as: European Jazz Festival, Sligo Jazz Festival and Cork Jazz Festival among others. Members have also played with successful bands and Artists such as Hot House Flowers, The Bentley Boys, Hozier, Supertonic Orchestra and Superfly. Had a fab time last Tuesday performing in this beautiful spot with 2 awesome musicians who took time out of their very busy schedules to be a part of this initiative. Thank you Robson Rocha Musician and Alan Elliott!
Thanks also to the Art of Coffee and the wonderful Stella Bass for organising. It felt humbling and moving to use my skills as a musician to express my support for the Ukrainian people at this dark time.
I will be back next Tuesday 10th, 12.30 - 1.30pm, Art of Coffee, Sharp Building, D2 with an even bigger line up of excellent musicians. We'll be doing everything from classic and latin jazz to jazzy takes on Sade, Guns and Roses and more. 🙂 Do please spread the word!

Big thanks to Sligo Jazz Festival. It was an honour to play at such an amazing week of music. Great gig and crowd Saturday night in Mc Garrigles - thanks to Matt Halpin for doing an awesome job guesting with us. And then we got to kick off the end of week wrap party on Sunday on this beautiful stage :)
