The countdown is on - only ONE MONTH until our famous Let's Talk Science Festival!

This all-day event will be open to members of the public, offering engaging and innovative STEM activities for all ages. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and engage with science and STEM in a hands-on, fun way with a huge range of different innovative STEM activities.

Please note that all children will need to be accompanied by an adult.

When? Saturday, 9th November 2023

What? A family-friendly event featuring dynamic workshops, interactive exhibition stands, captivating demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and the latest in technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Let's Talk Science Festival is supported by Dublin City Council and Science Foundation Ireland.

Did you see the fascinating sea creatures brought by the Explorers Education Programme?

Our young scientists has a fantastic time spotting and learning about anenomes, shrimp, starfish, hermit crabs and more!

As well as the pheonomenal live sea creatures, we also got to explore shark teeth, whale baleen, mermaids purses and dogwhelk eggs!

We were delighted to welcome Bat Conservation Ireland to Lets Talk Science Festival! They do amazing work protecting bats across the country. Our young scientists had the opportunity to see some of these amazing creatures up close. We have 9 species of bats in Ireland, can you guess which bat is in the picture?

Our next amazing exhibitor at this year's Let’s Talk Science festival was Met Éireann! Their augmented reality sandbox was a hit with our young scientists, as well as their tornado in a bottle!

Did you know we had a meteorite at Lets Talk Science Festival this year???

Armagh Observatory and Planetarium has been conducting astronomical research since 1790, and brought some of their amazing finds to us! Young scientists also had the opportunity to learn how to make their very own rocket (and test it out of course)!

Geology ROCKS 🌎 Thanks to Geological Survey Ireland, the national earth science knowledge centre, who joined Lets Talk Science Festival with some amazing models to show our young scientists how water moves through the earth and needs to be protected!
