Carpet Theatre Ciarán Taylor established Carpet Theatre (formerly BDNC Theatre) in 2002 to create new, and devised work. Ciarán trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq.

The company has produced 20 shows and toured in Ireland, Wales, Czech Republic, Romania, and Bulgaria.

It is funded by the collaborating organisations and Rethink Ireland and by the The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon in 2023 when the documentary began.

On RTÉ Radio 1 Arena tonight at about 7:15pm Sightless Cinema member Bernie Kenny and director Ciaran Taylor talking about 'Home' on tour The Civic 14 Oct; Solstice Arts Centre 16 Oct; and Dunamaise Arts Centre 17 October. The show features recorded and live audio plays, performed by casts of Sightless Cinema Network members from South Dublin, Laois and Meath. 'Sleep' is a comedy set in a sleep study clinic, where insomniacs and sleepwalkers rule the night. In 'The Committee' Ballinagalt village Tractorfest committee is falling apart- can a hero emerge to save the village? In 'Homeward Bound', when a mother dies leaving the family farm to two brothers, there are big questions to be answered, and a mountain to climb. Live comedies performed with live foley sound effects, feature a wedding fiasco, lost lotto ticket and a new baby.

Announcing 'Home, Sightless Cinema's new show, on tour 14-17 October (14th TThe Civic 16th SSolstice Arts Centre 17th DDunamaise Arts Centre. 'Home' is a programme of audio shorts, where all the pictures are in your head! Optional blindfolds are provided.
The show features recorded and live audio plays, performed by casts of Sightless Cinema Network members from South Dublin, Laois and Meath. 'Sleep' is a comedy set in a sleep study clinic, where insomniacs and sleepwalkers rule the night.
