Ready... Set... Make! Throwback to Dublin Maker last week. An incredible coming together of makers of all types and backgrounds.

We hosted families in the YofA Playground with our Break it/Fix it Studios, Creative Constraints Café and Sensory Art Lab, and YofA's Little Makers boosted their confidence and entrepreneurial skills with their own creative creations from 3D Prints to Kid-proof "Energy" Drinks.

Do you have kids between the ages of 7 and 12? At our summer camp they'll spend three days growing confidence, finding their creative voice, expressing themselves and making new connections both indoors and outside. We'll run free-play workshops around epoxy art, paiting, sculpture, drama and more.

From 9.30am to 3.30pm, let us mind them and give them a new creative view for their summer days.

Only two months left until Show Day!

Rehearsals for The Greatest Show musical are well underway. This musical based on The Greatest Showman tells a story of kids who dream big! The script was written by kids, the musical is choreographed by kids and the kids are involved with everything from costumes to props and light & tech.

It's an incredible project that can only work with the commitment and input of these amazing 19 families!

Two weeks ago we had our Sports Day event where the kids ran or threw a ball into a target to raise funds for their musical T-Shirts and Show Night Pizza Party. Because this project is about more than performing arts. Its about community, confidence building and taking as many opportunities as possible for the kids to grow and learn new skills.

I'm incredibly proud of how far we've gotten, and cannot wait to see their final performance on September 5th at the theatre in East Wall.

Oh... when the sun is out! 🌞

Cyanotype and sun prints at Art in the Park. We played with photo sensitive paper, science, turmeric sun prints and recorded nature as well as random objects to follow in the footsteps of Man Ray, Annie Atkins, Sir John Herschel and others. We learned the link between cyanotype, cyanide ☠️, blueprints and other interesting connections to this incredibly fun and beautiful art medium!

The Cricut Maker 4 is here... and we're already in love! 😍

You'll be able to see it in action at the Dublin Maker Festival this August, so pop over to our stand and have a go yourself! ✂️✨

Not to worry if you can't make it in August though, our next Year of Arts programme will include plenty of opportunities to create with the Cricut Maker 4 throughout the year.

We can't wait to see what you'll make with this beauty!

Dublin Maker here we come!!! Apologies for the big plastering of our faces all over the Dublin Maker page 😳🙈, I have tried to change this, but alas...!

📢 But we are so excited to announce that we will be at DUBLIN MAKER this summer for the full weekend of August 22nd and 23rd at Leopardstown!

🎪 You'll find us outside in The YofA Playground Gazebo where we'll be set up with a "Little Makers" market where young aspiring entrepreneurs can sell their creations.

⚒️ We'll also have a Break it/Fix it Studios Table where old electronics can be dismantled and given a new artistic lease of life.

🍃 The YofA Sensory Art Lab will be a haven for those enjoying art with all their senses, we'll invite you to come feel, smell, see, try and more!

We have a few more surprises up our sleeve, so sharpie the date (AUG 22-23) in your calendar and we cannot wait to see you in at Dublin Maker 2026!!!
