We also highly recommend RuairĂ McCann's fantastic article about '2 Channel Land' which can be found at this link: https://ruairimccann.substack.com/p/the-land-of-saints-sinners-and-big.

The article starts with a fascinating piece on Eimear and Cat McClay's latest film 'A mother's love for her baby'. We were delighted to present their previous film as part of our aemi @ GAZE programme.

👏 ✹ Congratulations to Fiona Hallinan on the sold out premiere of her feature film 'Making Dust', presented by AEMI & IFI as part of the IFI Documentary Festival this coming Sunday, October 1st, at 3:30pm.

Film Info:
‘Making Dust’ is a powerful portrait of the demolition in 2021 of the Church of the Annunciation in Finglas, once the second-largest Catholic Church in Ireland. Understanding this moment as a rupture, the film is structured around a fascinating and deeply insightful essay by architectural historian Ellen Rowley which considers some of the ways in which the building has both influenced and been influenced by the community it was built to serve.

Learn more about her work here: https://fiona-hallinan.com/

Metal frames and fragments of grey brick wall support the remaining structure. The image features large stained-glass windows arranged on two levels and separated by metal dividers. The stained glass is brightly coloured and comprised of small abstract panels in shades of blue, pink, yellow, green, red, and brown. The sky in the background is a light grey colour.]
