Today we worked on movement and expression as part of our preparations for our Musical Theatre performance on Saturday 6th June in Drogheda Town Centre.

The Loving Life Choir were honoured to prepare a special video recording in support of The Alders Unit National Conference 2026 at Children’s Health Ireland, held in The Davis Theatre, Trinity College Dublin. ❤️🎶

The conference supports professionals working with children and young people who have experienced very difficult and traumatic life experiences.

It meant so much to our choir members to know their music was heard in such a prestigious setting. From humble beginnings, our journey continues to bring us to very special places.

The Loving Life Choir dedicate our performance of “Go the Distance” to the more than 5,500 children across Ireland currently experiencing homelessness. ❤️🎶

This song is about hope, strength and continuing forward even through difficult times. At our performance, we sang with those children and families in our hearts.

No child should ever feel forgotten.

✨ A very special moment awaits us this Wednesday 20th May as the Loving Life Choir from Drogheda performs in the beautiful City Assembly House on South William Street, Dublin.

For over 250 years, this historic venue has been filled with music, creativity and storytelling, welcoming generations of performers through its doors. Now, it will welcome Drogheda’s own Loving Life Choir — a group built on kindness, courage, friendship and community. 💙

For our young choir members, this is more than a performance. It is a chance to stand proudly in one of Dublin’s most treasured spaces and let their voices be heard.

On Wednesday 20th May, the Loving Life Choir from Drogheda will perform in the beautiful City Assembly House on South William Street, Dublin, a place filled with history, music and creativity for more than 250 years. Many talented performers, artists and choirs have stood in its halls, sharing their voices and stories with others.

For our young choir members, this is more than just a performance. It is a chance to stand proudly in one of Dublin’s most historic venues and let your voices be heard.

The City Assembly House has welcomed generations of people through its doors and this week it welcomes Drogheda’s own Loving Life Choir, a group built on kindness, courage and community.

Drogheda Town Centre to Be Transformed for Youth Performance Project

We are absolutely delighted to share that the Loving Life Choir has received funding from Creative Ireland and Louth County Council as part of Cruinniú na nÓg 2026 🎉

This support will allow us to bring our new project “Exploring Identity and Belonging Through Performance” to life — a piece shaped by the voices and experiences of our amazing young people.

As part of this exciting journey, we will be transforming Drogheda Town Centre as we stage our Wicked-inspired performance, creating a vibrant public space filled with music, movement, and storytelling.

We can’t wait to share this journey with you all, with a very special performance taking place on 6th June 2026.

A huge thank you to Creative Ireland and Louth County Council for believing in this project and supporting youth creativity in our community.
