The Lady in Red

In the quiet of her waiting, she stands,, bathed in daylight
A lady in red, her eyes burning with a flame that never sleeps
Her soul, a vessel, overflowing with the passion of a thousand suns
Aching for the touch of her twin, the one who will fan the embers

The city outside is a distant hum, a muffled murmur
As her gaze loses itself in the expanse, searching for a sign
The air is heavy with anticipation, a sense of impending change
A whisper of promise, a hint of what's to come

Her heart beats with a rhythm, a primal drum
Echoing through the chambers of her soul, a call to the unknown
She is a flame, burning bright, a beacon in the haze
A siren's song, lulling the world into a sweet surrender

And when he comes, the room will ignite
A conflagration of love, a blaze that will consume them both
Leaving only ashes, a reminder of the fire that once burned
A love that will rise, phoenix-like, from the ashes, forever changed

Today we have the incredible privilege of speaking with Wendy Moore—a self-taught Irish painter, poet, and author based in Cork. Her artwork is known for its layers, movement, and colour, while each painting is accompanied by a poem and a carefully chosen quote that brings even deeper meaning.

Wendy’s journey is nothing short of inspiring—from her life before a life-changing accident, to how art became her release, her healing, and ultimately her calling. She’s been featured in the media, on radio, in exhibitions across Cork, and her books Kindness and Joy are touching readers worldwide.
