When Revival Gospel Choir started this fundraising journey 6 weeks ago, we could only hope and dream that our efforts would make a difference. Today we are immensely proud to have presented our fellow choir member and dear friend Alfie Byrne with an incredible €29,000 from our fundraising efforts, to help his lovely girl Eímear Byrne, have her surgery in America.
Raising this huge amount of money could not have been possible without the overwhelming support of the people of Arklow and beyond who donated, supported, attended and contributed to our Jumble Sale, Raffle and Concert.
We are truly humbled by the kindness, warmth and generosity shown to our little choir throughout this journey.
Choirs are often described as families, and that is certainly true of Revival Gospel Choir. Alfie is not just a fellow choir member; he is a dear friend who is loved and respected by everyone who knows him. When one member of our choir family needs support, we stand together, and it meant the world to us to be able to show Alfie, Ailish, Eimear and Niamh that they are surrounded by love, friendship and unwavering support. To be able to stand beside him and his family during this difficult time meant a great deal to every one of us in RGC.
We were honoured to present this contribution and, in doing so, show Alfie and his family that they have an entire community behind them, supporting them every step of the way.
