For the first time ever in Cavan, three of Ireland’s most skilled fire performers present ROGU’s most popular production for all ages, FIRESTORM.

A family show that isn’t just for children but has something for everyone. With inspiration from classic science fiction cult movie scenes and the desire to break the mold of the “classic” fire show formula. The performers bring the audience on a reality bending journey that goes from spectacular to poetic to ridiculous and back again.

Our incredibly talented 2022 lineup continues with Manchán Magan, Arán & Im! - Sunday 22nd May, Con Smith Park, Cavan at 3pm!

Arán & Im is a theatrical performance/installation in which Manchán bakes sourdough bread for 70 minutes while offering insights into the wonders of the Irish language – exploring potent words of landscape, terms of intuition and insight, and the many phrases that bring to life the mysterious glory of our natural world. It is a celebration of language, land and local Irish food, with freshly-baked traditional sourdough bread for the audience to slice and spread with butter they churn themselves from Irish cream. It was originally produced in association with The Abbey Theatre.

Manchán Magan is a writer and documentary-maker. He has written books on his travels in Africa, India and South America, and two novels. He writes regularly for the Irish Times, reports on travel for various radio programs, and has presented dozens of documentaries on issues of world culture for TG4, RTÉ, and the Travel Channel.

We had a magical sunny evening for our official programme launch in the beautiful Town Hall Theatre & Arts Space last week.

We also celebrated the official opening of our festival exhibition “Crossing the Salt” by the lovely and gifted Gabhann Dunne.

Thanks so much to all who came & supported this years festival programme heading off out into the world.
