For us as a drama group, the script is obviously very important. What makes the stage production of "We have him back!" by Brían MacSuibhne all the more special, is not just that it is a factual, historically based production.
What makes it really very special is when you are playing real live characters who attend and approve and Love the play while sitting in the audience.🎭 🙏🎭
In Belmullet, Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet the audience were Franks sisters, and nephews and nieces
In Tullamore Esker Arts we also had Stagg family members.
In Leitrim Island Theatre Ballinamore we had the honour of one of the Gravediggers attend, Gerry Ginty as well as family members of Jerry Mealy.
Trim in the Swift Cultural Centre was exceptionally touching as we had 2 of the gravediggers and family members of the other gravediggers as well as Frank Stagg's siblings, nephews, nieces and great grandchildren of Mary & Henry Stagg.
And a special word on George Stagg Seoirse Ó Staighe who has attended every production and taken the time afterwards to give the audience more insight into the events and censored historical happenings surrounding this story of his brother Brave Frank Stagg. Thank you to you all.
