What happens when a community extends an invitation with openness, generosity and curiosity?
This week, we were delighted to welcome Abraham Burickson Odyssey Works to Bagenalstown. His visit offered a valuable opportunity to reflect on the unique strengths that exist within our town and wider community—our willingness to come together, to share stories, ideas and experiences, and to imagine new possibilities collectively.
What stood out most was not just the conversation itself, but the spirit of the invitation. The people of Bagenalstown continue to demonstrate that strong communities are built through relationships, mutual support, and a readiness to welcome others into the dialogue.
Abe's time here highlighted the richness of local knowledge, creativity and civic participation that already exists across the area. It was a reminder that meaningful change begins with listening, connecting and building from the strengths that are already present.
