This ghazal of mine has now been sung by 4 beautiful voices,2 from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and 2 from India 🇮🇳and honestly, the amount of love you people have given every version has been overwhelming. ❤️
As a writer, there’s no bigger happiness than seeing your words travel across borders, voices and hearts. Each singer brought a completely different emotion to it, and I’m genuinely grateful to all of them for making this journey even more beautiful.

ایک خوشگوار حیرت تھی کہ جی سی یونیورسٹی لاہور کا نام سنتے ہی ذہن میں اُبھرنے والا تاثر ، تاریخ ، تربیت اور معیار اس درجہ امید پر پورا اترے گا ، مجھے یاد نہیں پڑتا کہ کہیں بھی طلبا اس قدر سنجیدگی ، توجہ اور دلچسپی سے سننے اور سمجھنے کے لیے بیتاب نظر آئے ہوں ، کیسے عمدہ سوالات تھے اور کچھ ایسے جو میرے گیٹ سے باہر آتے تک بھی ختم ہونے کو نہ آتے تھے ، اکثر کا شمار خود بہت اچھا لکھنے والوں میں سے تھا اور مجھے بے حد خوشی ہے کہ کسی نہ کسی درجے میں اُن کی کچھ اُلجھنوں پر گفتگو ہوئی ، کچھ خیالات مذید پختہ ہوئے اور کچھ غلط فہمیاں دُور ہوئیں ۔۔۔

نور الحرا نے اپنے روایتی خوبصورت انداز میں بہت عمدگی سے پروگرام کو شروع سے آخر تک سنبھالا ۔۔ پہلا مرحلہ تعارف کا تھا ، پھر سوالات اور پھر کلام ِ شاعر بہ زبان ِ شاعر کا سلسلہ ۔۔ تینوں مراحل اپنی جگہ مسحور کن تھے ، ہمیشہ یاد رہنے والے ۔۔

اپنے سینئرز سے تربیت یافتہ ان نوجوانوں میں اپنے بڑوں اور اپنے اساتذہ کے لیے جو محبت اور احترام اس ادارے میں دیکھا ، خدا کرے کہ اُسے نظر نہ لگے ۔۔

اُن تمام دوستوں کا بے حد شکریہ جو انتظام میں شریک تھے ، خصوصا محمد اویس اور علی قاسم کا شکریہ جو قدم قدم ساتھ رہے ،سب سے بڑھ کر علی قائم نقوی کا جس کی محبت سے یہ سب ممکن ہوا ۔۔
