American born multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Peter Broderick celebrates ten years living in Ireland this summer with a string of shows in West Cork accompanied by his best friends who live scattered around the country. Broderick and this group of four other men have been meeting yearly in the Burren for the annual Winterage, an ancient farming tradition where hundreds of people gather to lead herds of cattle up the mountain. This practice of bringing together the same group of friends each year, finding a place to stay just the five of them after the day’s hike, has become a sacred space for the five lads. A safe place to share the depths of what’s on their hearts while sitting around a camp fire, to cook elaborate feasts and break bread together, and of course, to play music.

What began as a tradition of friends getting together and playing only for themselves has finally made its way to the stage. After one ecstatic night at the legendary Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht back in January 2026, the group will continue on with their ‘West Cork World Tour’, playing shows in Leap, Macroom, Ballydehob and Ahakista. Expect fiddles, a good bit of craic and heartfelt warm vibes.

Cannot wait for this ❤️

🔹Harry Fennell

Harry Fennell’s performances are a dynamic mix of high energy and intimate, stripped-back folk. The rhythm section, with Michael McCarthy on drums and Aidan Grey on double bass, shifts effortlessly between lively beats and minimalist folk songs. Guitarist Lughaidh Armstrong Mayock adds ambient texture with effects pedals, and wondrous playing.

Fennells approach to each performance is adaptable combining the energy of rock with the ease of acoustic folk. Whether solo or with a full band, his performances are always a pleasure to watch.

Infused with the spirit of Bob Dylan, his music transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary His songs draw from personal experiences and keen observations of modern Ireland, exploring love, loss, and the human condition.

🔷 SLOW CREATURES 🔷

Next up we are delighted to present : Slow Creatures, coming all the way from Clare for beautiful full band set! Not to be missed ✨

‘Emerging from the rugged west coast of Ireland, Slow Creatures are a new name in Folk.
Their music is distinctly rich, honest and deeply personal, which is so rooted in some timeless place, it’s almost hard to pin down in this modern landscape. The vocals have been described as ‘Truly arresting’. The band have cited Paul Simon and Joan Armatrading as influences, though with eclectic taste, often bond over styles ranging from pop, jazz & even progressive metal.

The band was Founded in 2024 by longtime friends, Rowan Noonan Ganley & Fiontán Cahill, Live shows often include other musicians,

On Christmas Eve 2025 they did a pre-release of their song ‘When The Levee Breaks’ including their film by the same name, to tremendous reception and feedback, including from author Mark Boyle - “A timeless reprieve, one that offers an achingly beautiful portrait of life in rural Ireland”, & artist Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip saying “For fans of the slow-burning, ever-building songs of Gillian Welch & David Rawlings Revelator- era music. A great Reimagining of ‘When The Levee Breaks’. “ The song was officially released on the 6th Jan 2026.

The group have performed at many legendary Irish venues including, Connolly’s of Leap, Sea Church, and the Ballydehob Jazz Festival. With exciting gigs and festivals booked at home and abroad for 2026, including Fire in The Mountain Folk festival in Wales, and an album in the works, Slow Creatures are an exciting one to watch.’

🔶 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT 🔶

🔷 KATRINA O’KANE 🔷 .o.kane

Next in the lineup - one of your hosts for this Saturday evening and curator of KIN events, Katrina O’Kane :

‘ Katrina is a Belfast native whose heart found its home in West Cork. In the North she studied music technology at SERC Bangor and performed regularly on the electronic music circuit which eventually led her to discovering Sound therapy and working occasionally as an assistant sound therapist with the Sound Healing Spa, deepening her understanding, love and connection with sound.

Whilst settling into her life in West Cork she eventually began singing and songwriting, started a six piece funk/ Neo soul band active between 2019-2022, after which the female trio ‘Diving Bell’ and with the passion and inspiration from being immersed in the local music scene came the creation of KIN in Jan 2023—a concert series based at Arundels by the pier in idyllic Ahakista, a project dedicated to showcasing original music & art.
Katrina now composes and performs solo with a Boss RC-505 loop pedal, electric guitar, effects, and percussion,
‘weaving intricate tapestries of sound and rhythm beneath haunting, melodic vocals.’
