🔥🧠 Quiz Night Recap! 🍻

Hot weather, hot competition... and one of the closest finishes we've ever had!

The battle for the top spot went right down to the wire, with just 0.5 points separating first and second place. That's the kind of finish we love to see!

👏 Team Wookie Mistakes gave it everything they had in their quest for the podium. It wasn't quite enough to raise the victory glasses this time, but it was a fantastic effort - well played!

🥈 *Thank Icarus Airlines for a Good Time, but Surely Not for a Second Place 🥲* proved once again that they're a seriously smart bunch. They came incredibly close, but sometimes half a point makes all the difference!

🏆 Congratulations to our winners! A confident, cool-headed performance earned them victory - and, of course, a well-deserved free round of drinks courtesy of Murphy's Irish Pub Budapest. Cheers! 🍻

The night wasn't just about trivia, though. We also had a lovely surprise when one team celebrated their friend's birthday! 🎂 After revealing a birthday picture, the whole pub joined in to sing, making it a special moment for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along. Your enthusiasm, patience, laughter, and constant support are what make these quiz nights so much fun month after month.

🌞🧠 Quiz Night Recap! 🍻

What a night! Yesterday's quiz was hot... and not just because of the weather outside! 🔥 The competition was just as intense, especially when you have two quizmasters playing in one team. We won't say that's unfair... but we'll let you decide! 😄

A huge thank you to everyone who spent the evening with us. Your laughs, cheers, and friendly rivalry are what make these quiz nights so special. ❤️

🥉 Doctors-2 claimed third place! It seems they haven't watched many movies, as that was the one round where they could have picked up a lot more points. Still, a fantastic effort - well done!

🥈 It's Hot, Isn't It? showed some brilliant teamwork and brainstorming throughout the night, earning a well-deserved second place.

🏆 Congratulations to our winners, We Learned This in School! And judging by their performance... they clearly did - and, as far as we know, they're still learning today! 😄 They celebrated their victory with a well-deserved free round of drinks courtesy of Murphy's Irish Pub Budapest. 🍻

A special mention goes to Phu-Huk IT Brothers, who were apparently having such a good time that they forgot to add their points from the last round! 😅 Don't worry - it didn't change the standings, but we corrected the final table so everything adds up.

Question nobody got right! 0/7 😳

On quiz night we showed a picture of the famous upside-down statue of Charles La Trobe and here is a quick fun fact:

💡 This striking sculpture at La Trobe University in Melbourne literally turns a traditional monument on its head. Instead of honouring history in the usual upright, heroic pose, the artist deliberately inverted the figure to challenge how we remember public leaders and how authority is presented.

It’s part of a broader artistic idea that universities and education should “turn ideas upside down” and encourage critical thinking rather than blind respect for tradition.

👉 Interestingly, the statue has also become a bit of a talking point because people often assume it must be a trick question—after all, Australia is famously joked about as “the land down under,” where everything is upside down 🙃

So even without knowing the statue, that stereotype alone could’ve been your clue!

🎉 Quiz Night Recap (a bit late… but worth it!) 🧠🍻

Sorry for the late update — but what a night it was! Our fifth quiz night is now behind, and this one was a little bit special 👀

For the first time, the guy who’s usually behind the computer stepped up and took the microphone 🎤 Big thanks for your warm round of applause — your support and patience really mean a lot to us! 🙌 And huge thanks to Yahor Tsepliakou - savior and hero of the night!

As always, the atmosphere was amazing — full of laughs, smiles, and great energy all around. Thank you all for keeping it so cheerful and fun 💛

And of course… we had another classic moment from Team Palinka My Balls 😄 This time they again managed to ignore the score from one round — but luckily, it didn’t change their final position! That’s what we call people just genuinely enjoying a quiz night with friends 🍻

Thanks again to everyone who joined us — you make these nights what they are!
