U Muzej grada Zagreba je Umjetnički paviljon u Zagrebu upravo otvorio zanimljivu izložbu DREZDENSKI DNEVNIK ANKE KRIZMANIĆ.
Izložbu možete pogledati do 20. rujna.
Međutim, Muzej grada Zagreba ne uvažava članske iskaznice AICA Croatia pa će kolege koji misle pisati o izložbi morati platiti ulaznicu, za koju se MGZ pravda da ima malu cijenu, kao da je to tema profesionalnog uvažavanja.
Nedavno smo opetovano molili obrazloženje ove odluke koja je u suprotnosti sa smjernicama UNESCO kako bismo našim članovima objasnili ovu neobjašnjivu situaciju. Odgovor smo prvi p**a čekali nekoliko mjeseci, i na nasu ponovljenu inicijativu dobili vrlo šturi odgovor. Sada čekamo opet. No obrazloženje još nismo dobili. Proslijedili smo u MGZ i pismo AICA International, međutim, sasvim bezuspješno, bez ikakvog odgovora.

On 7 June 2026, the 12th International Awards for Art Criticism (IAAC 12) was officially launched at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, inviting submissions of art reviews in Chinese or English from around the globe.

IAAC 12 is jointly run by the IAAC Organising Committee, the School of Philosophy at Fudan University, and the Shanghai Zhangyuan Art Museum (in preparation), with support from the Royal College of Art in London, the Edinburgh College of Art and the International Association of Art Critics (AICA).

The Twelfth Edition is open to candidates from anywhere in the world writing in Chinese or English about any contemporary art exhibition held anywhere in the world or on-line between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026. Candidates are invited to write a review of 1,500 English words or 2,500 Chinese characters on any exhibition of contemporary art. The submissions shall not previously have been published anywhere else.

AICA International and its Censorship and Freedom of Expression Committee invite art professionals worldwide to take part in an anonymous survey on the global state of freedom of expression.

The results will be presented at the 58th annual congress of AICA International in Rennes, France (12 - 16 October 2026).

The survey consists of approximately twenty questions and is available in three languages: English, French and Spanish.

Your feedback will help AICA International strengthen its support and defence of freedom of expression across the arts and visual culture.

Open Call: AICA International & DDA Bretagne “Meet-up”

To mark the 58th Congress of AICA International, taking place in Rennes from 12 to 16 October 2026, AICA International and Documents d’artistes Bretagne are joining forces to invite six AICA members to take part in a special Meet-up from 9 to 12 October 2026.

This four-day exploratory trip is designed to foster professional exchanges, encourage an understanding of artists’ work, and offer the opportunity to discover the local visual arts ecosystem in Rennes through studio visits, exhibition visits, and meetings with artists and arts professionals.

The call is open to exhibition curators, arts programmers and AICA members wishing to discover artists from the Rennes scene through exclusive visits.

Meet-up dates: 9 to 12 October 2026
Location: Rennes, France
Apply by: 14 June 2026
Accommodation and meals covered. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs

OPEN CALL: 2026 INCENTIVE PRIZE FOR ART CRITICS
AICA International is pleased to announce the 2026 Incentive Prize for Art Critics, presented in connection with the 58th AICA International Congress, taking place in Rennes, France, from 12 to 16 October 2026.

Theme: Art criticism and eco-socially engaged practices: new writing, new challenges?
Contest timeline: 9 June to 6 August 2026, by midnight Paris time (CET)
Eligibility: Critics, commentators, curators and educators writing from anywhere, including newspapers, magazines, television, radio and the internet.
Languages: English, French or Spanish. Optional: French or Spanish with English translation.
Entry fee: None
Cash prizes: First Place: €2,000 | Second Place: €1,000 | Third Place: €500

The three winners will be notified by email, and winning essays will be posted on the AICA International website.

Essayists do not have to be AICA members. Essays do not have to follow the 2026 Congress theme. Previously published essays, or essays sent to other contests, are eligible.

AICA International reserves the right to publish entries on its website or AICA/e-mag.
