Our guest is who hails from Berlin, a city steeped in electronic music history. From a young age, in 1998, he was drawn to the raw, tactile experience of vinyl records, which became the foundation of his lifelong love for techno culture. As an advocate for vinyl culture, resident DJ at the Legendary Triebwerk Dresden over 10 years.
Beyond his DJ career, Sebastian Keks has made a significant impact with his productions. With a series of well-received EPs released on various labels, he showcases his deep understanding of the vinyl format while pushing the boundaries of techno with each new project. His work reflects both the timelessness of analog and the forward-thinking energy of the modern scene, cementing his place as a respected figure within both the Berlin techno scene and the broader European electronic music landscape.
In 2014, he launched the event series Nachteulen and Berlin Techno. Since March 2024, he has been a member of SUT - Secret Underground Techno.
In 2005, Umweltpumpe1 organized its first party under the name Gepflegtes Klopfen at Triebwerk Dresden, followed by additional events in Germany and Poland. In 2024, another project was launched: Gepflegtes Klopfen Series, a podcast channel focused on publishing techno sets by various DJs without any frills or gimmicks.
