The last day is always bittersweet but this year it gave us everything right up until the very end.
The morning started early, with sunrise yoga by .dubrovnik, inside .1483 as the island was still waking up. From there the masterclasses took over. , and opened with a session on Roots & Branches, exploring what happens when musicians let themselves simply be themselves in the creation process, fellows joining in after a short introduction. held the next interactive masterclass on the topic of Exploring Polyrhythms & Improvisation. Followed by with a masterclass on storytelling through music, looking at how rhythm and dynamics can shape a narrative the way words do.
Soon after the group made their way to for lunch, the kind that runs long and nobody’s in a rush to leave. The day’s masterclasses came to a close there too, with wrapping up this year’s series alongside the mentors and fellows who took part. Later, mentors and Master gathered for dinner at .villa.lopud, one last evening together before the final night began.
And then the night. , , and took the stage for the final performance of the festival, later joined by , closing out three nights amazing music on Lopud. The last jam session of the year followed, and then the closing party carried everyone into the early hours.
A truly special ending. ❤️
