🔮 Tarot vs. Oracle ✨
Do you know the difference?
Although both are tools for self-discovery, they have different structures and purposes:
🔸 TAROT
– Has a fixed structure: 78 cards divided into Major and Minor Arcana.
– Each card carries traditional and archetypal symbolism.
– It’s interpreted within a system, allowing for more complex or evolutionary readings.
– Tarot requires an exhaustive and profound study, as each card holds layers of symbolic, archetypal, and esoteric meaning that unfold over time.
– It doesn’t need a book to be interpreted.
🔸 ORACLE
– Doesn’t have a fixed number of cards. Each deck is created by its author according to a specific theme or message.
– It can be thematic (soul messages, animals, goddesses, elements…).
– It’s more intuitive, direct, and free in its interpretation.
– Oracle decks usually include a booklet with interpretations for each card, as their meanings are often unique to the creator’s vision and don’t follow a universal system like the Tarot.
– Its interpretation depends on the accompanying guidebook.
✨ In short:
Tarot is a structured symbolic language, while oracles are intuitive and author’s personal guides.
Which one resonates with you more?
Tarot or Oracle? 💫
To dive deep into the study of Tarot readings, I fully recommend starting with the Major Arcana using the Tarot de Marseille.
After one or more years of practice, you can go further by incorporating the full deck with the Rider Waite Tarot.
