首個贏得《留聲機》年度管弦樂團大獎的亞洲樂團，香港管弦樂團繼2024年「蓉城之秋」成都國際音樂季後，今年載譽歸來，更帶來重磅人物同場獻技！

🎹 Chopin Gold Medalist × HK Phil Resident Conductor – Making Their Chengdu Debut Together

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the first Asian orchestra to win the 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦 Orchestra of the Year Award, returns to Chengdu following their acclaimed performance at the 2024 "Autumn in Chengdu" International Music Season – and this time, they're bringing two heavyweight artists with them.

One is a "Startling conducting talent", the other is a Chinese-American pianist who just won gold at the International Chopin Piano Competition – Lio Kuokman and Eric Lu will present three contrasting pieces to Chengdu audiences:

🎼 A brand-new HK Phil commissioned work 𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘻 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 by renowned composer Yao Chen – inspired by Sichuan’s giant panda, as a special greeting to Chengdu audiences

30多年來，何思敏（Betty Ho）一直是港樂不可或缺的幕後功臣。作為樂團的樂譜管理，她默默在幕後辛勤工作，確保每一份樂譜、每一個分譜、每一場演出都以最細緻、最精準的方式準備妥當。現在，Betty 將開啟人生新篇章，讓我們一同回顧她一些最難忘的時刻 ✨

For more than 30 years, Betty Ho was an indispensable part of the HK Phil. As our orchestra librarian, she worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every score, part, and performance was prepared with the utmost care and precision. As Betty begins a new chapter,, we’re taking a look back at some of her most memorable moments ✨

Since her first season in 1995, she supported the orchestra all around the world, from Hong Kong to Vienna to Shanghai, and helped our musicians navigate countless performances, including the monumental demands of Wagner’s Ring Cycle.

We celebrate Betty’s exceptional professionalism and expertise, as well as the thoughtfulness, humour and quiet excellence she brings to her work. From meticulously prepared music and her well-loved collection of library pencils to the many challenges solved behind the scenes, her contribution to the HK Phil will be felt for years to come.

過去 39 年裡，我們的圓號樂師 #李少霖（Homer）一直是港樂不可或缺的一部分。

Homer於1987 年加入港樂，曾與多位歷任音樂總監合作，參與的演出無數──由首個演出的 #布拉姆斯第二交響曲，到壯麗難忘的 #華格納《 #指環》全集，以至樂季壓軸、向他致意的 #史特勞斯《 #維也納愛樂號角》。💛🎶

在他邁向退休之際，我們感謝他一直以來在藝術上的付出，他宅心仁厚，致力提攜後進，在教育上不遺餘力，台上台下不斷與我們分享喜悅，我們由衷感謝。他對音樂的熱誠，將會繼續啟發他人。

For 39 years, horn player has been an integral part of the sound of the HK Phil.

Joining the orchestra as a fresh graduate in 1987, he has performed under generations of Music Directors and helped shape countless concerts, from his first performance of ’s Symphony no. 2, through the monumental journey through ’s Ring Cycle, and our season finale tribute to his tenure with ’s Fanfare für die Wiener Philharmoniker.

As Homer retires, we celebrate not only his artistry, but also his generosity as a teacher, the kindness and joy he brought to rehearsals and performances, as well as his commitment to sharing music within the community. While this chapter comes to a close, his passion for inspiring others continues.

Thank you, Homer, for your extraordinary dedication to the HK Phil. We wish you good health, happiness, and many rewarding adventures, both in music and beneath the waves.

在音樂會開始之先，樂團聯同圓號樂師 #李少霖的好友與學生一同演奏 #史特勞斯《 #維也納愛樂號角》，向這位服務港樂39年的音樂家致敬。

而 #沙羅倫的《 #波路克斯》閃耀著層次豐富的管弦色彩，為探索沙羅倫獨特音樂語言的一年劃下恰如其分的結尾。

The evening began with ’s Fanfare für die Wiener Philharmoniker as a heartfelt tribute to horn player ’s 39-year tenure with the HK Phil.The performance was joined by Homer’s friends and students.

’s season as HK Phil’s Composer-in-Residence concluded this weekend with our performance of his atmospheric work, . Shimmering with layered orchestral colours, it was a fitting end to a year exploring Salonen’s distinctive musical voice.

The Grand Finale - : . Tarmo Peltokoski led soprano , bass-baritone , a combined choir of over 100 voices from the , the , and , alongside more than 100 instrumentalists from the HK Phil. An ensemble of this size and caliber is a rare sight on any stage, and both of this weekend’s audiences were visibly and deeply moved.

This monumental season finale sets the stage for Peltokoski’s official tenure as our in the 2026/27 season. We’re already excited for what’s in store!

回顧繞樑三日的貝多芬之夜 ✨

今年五月，世界知名的 #貝多芬演繹者 #紀弗朗聯同 #港樂樂師，在大館賽馬會立方展現了貝多芬管樂及鋼琴室樂作品的風采。

音樂會曲目均為貝多芬早期的作品：為管樂合奏團（現代管樂團雛形）而作的降E大調管樂八重奏，以及相同調性，充滿莫扎特風格的管樂及鋼琴五重奏。

這兩首樂曲引人入勝，為觀眾揭示貝多芬鮮有人知的一面，亦為接著的紀弗朗貝多芬鋼琴協奏曲全集音樂會響起了前奏。🎹

A look back at a very special Beethoven evening ✨

In May, renowned Beethoven interpreter François-Frédéric Guy joined musicians at Tai Kwun JC Cube for a brilliant evening of the composer’s chamber music.

The programme paired the vibrant Wind Octet, scored for ensemble, with the intimate Mozartian Quintet for Winds and Piano in the same key.

Together, these pieces offered audiences a compelling introduction to 's early style while setting the stage for Guy’s performance of Beethoven’s entire Piano Concerto cycle later that week. 🎹
