Writing about the work of artist Seong Ryul, filmmaker B**g Joon Ho observes "a quiet movement" that breathes through his pictorial world. Beneath billowing clouds and sunlit skies lies a “subtle sense of unease”, complicating the simplicity these scenes seem to promise.

Presented by Gallery Joeun, Seong's latest exhibition offers a focused look at his ongoing exploration of childhood memories, centring moments that appear unassuming but reveal their tenderness in hindsight. Through a slice‑of‑life approach, Seong lingers on minute observations—a shoulder turned, a contrail fading, a shadow stretched long by late-summer light. These subtle markers of time trace a transition into an adolescence already quietly underway.

🇰🇷 On View in Seoul

The Tokyo‑based art collective SIDE CORE has long engaged the city’s peripheries and overlooked spaces. In 'time gate' (2021), the group assembles “24h times” signs sourced from unmanned parking lots on demolition sites—places that, despite their intended function, organically evolve into pockets of rest and gathering. The installation evokes a suspended temporality, hinting at the freedoms that persist within tightly regulated metropolitan infrastructures.

'time gate' is currently on view at the Hoam Museum of Art. Spotlighted as part of Central Stage at Art Central 2026, SIDE CORE continues to advance their acclaimed practice on the international stage.

“Villa La Coste displays its impressive private art collection across a vast 200 hectares vineyard. Staying there with my daughters, I felt completely immersed in its artistic setting. The villa is reminiscent of a gallery, with compelling works at every turn and thoughtful architectural details enhancing the encounter.”

Meijia enjoys creating an artistic environment for her family, and continually seeks to experience diverse cultural expressions in art and design.

Home to hotelier Patrick McKillen’s private collection, Villa La Coste is admired for its distinctive presentation of art and architecture. In Aidan Hartshorn's latest exhibition at N.Smith Gallery, stones gathered from Wolgal/Wiradjuri Country are vacuum‑sealed in clear polymer skins, their containment echoing the ethnographic procedures used to package Aboriginal material during excavation works. Nearby, etchings pressed into aluminium dibond, plywood, and sheepskin map the bureaucratic systems that displace cultural belongings from their custodial contexts.

Across these works, Hartshorn reveals how ancestral material is catalogued and held at a remove, challenging the institutional impulse to render living cultures as archival matter.

Song Ha-young’s latest body of work begins from the modular logic of a pavilion—an open structure characterised by the visual and spatial continuity between interior and exterior. At HORI ART SPACE, he conceives the gallery as a temporary architecture, where boundaries become points of contact rather than lines of division.

Song’s paintings and objects unfold as planar abstractions regardless of surface, applying a clinical geometric discipline to compress and recalibrate the relationship between two‑ and three‑dimensional forms. Through shifting exchanges of light, material, and spatial rhythm, he invites viewers to inhabit a space that appears to continually open outward.

Song Ha-young 的最新創作以「展亭」的模組化設計邏輯為起點，藉由開放式建築結構，揭示內部與外部在視覺及空間層面上的連續性與流動感。在 HORI ART SPACE，他將畫廊構想為一座臨時建築，使原本涇渭分明的邊界，轉化為彼此交會的觸點。

跨越媒材與表面的限制，Song Ha-young 的繪畫與物件創作皆以平面抽象的形式展開。他運用嚴謹流暢的幾何秩序，壓縮並重新構建二維與三維形態的分界；透過光線、材質與空間韻律的交疊與置換，引導觀者一同置身於一個彷彿持續向外延展的空間之中。

Los Angeles-based photographer and film director Summer Wagner traces the fragile threshold where the natural world and the digital one refuse to stay apart.

Presented by The Locker Room, Wagner’s latest exhibition turns on a charged frontier: youth in the face of apocalypse, solitude in the wake of singularity. Moving through open landscapes lit simultaneously by sky and screen, her photographs hold flowers, water, and the residue of everyday American life against the glow of devices. Each image finds its subject in the quality of contact itself, and in the particular tenderness of a generation that has learned to cradle technology and the body with the same uncertain hands.

Qin Feng’s practice expands writing beyond language, returning it to gesture, rhythm, and energy.

In the artist's latest exhibition presented by Art of Nature Contemporary, his monumental brushstrokes collide and unfurl across vast surfaces, forming visual structures that hover between precision and rupture. Circles, arcs, and continuous red lines trace metaphysical turns and cultural crossings, revealing writing as a spiritual trajectory that moves freely across time, memory, and civilisation.

Soul Eunsol Eom envisions nature to be rooted in reality, yet continually reconfigured by the imaginative worlds we summon to confront its force. In her latest paintings presented at Kimreeaa Gallery, figures cling to one another beneath rising waters, but gather defiantly to feast before a house swallowed by flames. In these charged tableaux, humanity approaches nature with shifting postures of arrogance, apprehension, and acceptance, laying bare the volatile relations that underpin our ineluctable coexistence.
