水，給人柔軟的印象，但當它成為雨滴從天而降時，則充滿力量，亦能穿石。木，則給人堅硬的印象，常用作建房和製作工具。這木雕作品呈現出木質柔軟的狀態，像水面的漣漪一樣柔和軟曲。 這樣的衝突在這作品中呈現水硬及木軟的效果。露珠中包裹着的米的不同型態，象徵着糧食來自於天上及雨水的灌溉，滋潤萬物生長及提供水分給予泥土下的種子。

Catching Dewdrops and The Rippling Wood

Water, gives us the impression of soft, but it is full of power when it falls from the sky as a raindrop, it can even punch a hole through a stone. Wood, gives us the impression of hardness, it is always used as a building and making tool. This wood carving is in the soft state of wood, this wood carving represents the softness of wood, soft as ripples on the water. This kind of conflict presents the effect of hard water and soft wood in this work. The different states of rice that are wrapped in the dewdrops, it symbolizes that food comes from the sky and the irrigation by rainwater, it nourishes the growth of plants and provides moisture to the seeds under the soil.
