"A Love Letter to Myself" by CHUNG SZE PUI

We enjoy loving people.However, we always forget to love ourselves. By focusing on Self-Love’s topic, this work allows the audience to look at the reflective letterbox. The voice of Love quotes plus the moving mouth, create an image of people just like talking to themselves.

"Punti—Shenzhen’s Weitou Dialect" by WEN CUILING

The theme of this artwork is "Disappearing Shenzhen Dialects". This artwork consists of 6 scrolls, a documentary-style video, and a tape. Dialects are gradually disappearing and fading out of view due to accelerated urbanization, frequent population movements, and the widespread use of Mandarin. Therefore, I take Shenzhen's Weitou dialect as the research direction, reflecting that the Shenzhen dialects are gradually disappearing and raising the alarm and need people to preserve and inherit them. At the same time, this work aims to make everyone aware of the importance and significance of dialects.

"From first impression to Memory" by YEUNG CHUNG MING

Have you ever had a song or person you think you met them or have heard of before, but you just cannot figure out where or when did that happen? Therefore, you started to look into your memories..How would you describe this process? Isn’t it difficult. This work is a collage installation combined with photography and drawings. The presentation of this work is set–up as a detective’s clue-walls like, the messiness and complex of evidence is the metaphor of the memories and first impressions. Let’s crack this case together!

As an intangible cultural heritage, fish lanterns embody the wisdom and strength of the Chinese nation. Strengthening the protection of fish lantern cultural ecology and inheritance methods is of great significance to the construction of contemporary Chinese culture. With the rapid development of society, art design, as an important part of life, plays an increasingly important role in cultural life. Therefore, this project uses the theory of visual communication to deconstruct and reorganize the visual elements of fish lanterns and lantern festivals. In the form of AR interactive picture books, we strive to combine traditional culture with modern forms of digital information dissemination.
