Emotional Waterfall (oil pastels) - I have been struggling with releasing years of repressed emotions toward myself; intense anger, frustration, guilt, shame...

This is a very personal exercise;

Choose any art medium you feel is right for you, using a large piece of paper.
Before you start, sit, close your eyes and try to let your feelings out, really allow yourself to FEEL them.
It will feel strange and almost unnatural, as you have trained yourself to repress emotions that you hide from the world and yourself.
No emotion is bad, they are all simply messengers to ourselves, alerting us to our emotional needs, and gives us the ability to move forward in peace.

Use coloured markers to make background, paint a layer of black paint, and go nuts!!
A great way to lift your spirits and make an amazing peice of art in the process!!

Hi everyone! My deepest apologies for not posting for such a long time, but I have been very busy with therapy sessions amongst other things!
This is something I intend to work on as soon as things settle down a little for me, and I finish a very special art project i am currently working on.
I hope the scribble art helps!! I may even try it tomorrow.

Self-portrait representation of NOW, my heart, spirit, mind and soul, currently in the midst of great transformation.

A great exercise to get to know yourself in the present moment.
How do you see your spirit at this very moment? Your heart? Your mind? Your soul?
Do they have shape or form (I chose animal, natural elements as representation meaningful to me, you don't have to), what colours do you feel or see?

Doodle art therapy- helps with focus, depression, concentration, relaxation, stress, mindfulness, creativity, and even memory recall and problem solving.
There is no right or wrong way to do this exercise!

The process: Using pencils or pen, held lightly and with a relaxed wrist (shake your wrist beforehand to loosen it up a bit), just put pen to paper and let it flow... Try not to concentrate too much, let your hand be your guide, letting it go where it wants to.

Fill empty spaces with any patterns or colours that feel right, try not to dwell on it too long, not looks right, but feels right.
If you feel your wrist tensing throughout this exercise, just gently loosen it up and keep going.
