生花一種生 - 青龍鳶尾一種生
一年一度的儀式感，香港四季都可以買到青龍葉插生花，但只有等到它短暫開花的季節，才有機會做到一種生，線條優雅的長葉物千變萬化，每個作品都有着不同的風情，青龍鳶尾每年開花大概只有個多星期時間，一期一會明年再見！

I’ve always wanted to visit this kakitsu special spot in Kyoto, finally got the time to go last month after class, although it’s already passed its prime maybe a week late, still glad I’m able to see a vast field of kakitsu growing in abundance. It’s a beautiful day, I got a rental bike and rode from Higashiyama station before leaving Kyoto in a rush!

It’s very refreshing getting to play with the very basic patterns with one single material, it’s all about pure form structure, how much can be expressed with simple compositions. It’s good reminder for self: sometimes less is more.

It’s been over a year since my last class… missing everyone so much! I didn’t exactly prepared anything for this time so I just improvised with whatever I found on my first day in Kyoto! Hana Shobu is in season right now, so I have decided to practice some basic jiyuka form with them~ 💜
