Team Pastels & Soca Events wishes to address a matter concerning an event currently being advertised for 31st July, 2026 in Ituni, promoted by Shay Glam, which bears the name "Pastels & Soca."
It is important to clarify that Team Pastels & Soca Events has absolutely no affiliation, partnership, endorsement, sponsorship, or involvement with the promotion, planning, management, or ex*****on of this event.
Upon becoming aware of the use of the Pastels & Soca name, I, Quincy Williams, immediately contacted the promoter and held a formal and extensive discussion regarding the unauthorized use of the brand name. During that conversation, it was clearly communicated and understood that the event name would be changed to avoid confusion with our established brand.
Furthermore, I expressly advised the promoter that the names "Pastels" and "Pastels & Soca", as used in connection with our events and entertainment brand, are the exclusive intellectual property and brand identity developed and owned by Quincy Williams and Team Pastels & Soca Events. No other individual, promoter, organization, or company has been granted permission to use these names in a manner that suggests any association with our brand.
Since 2022, Team Pastels & Soca Events has invested significant time, creativity, and resources into building and promoting the Pastels & Soca brand. Through events such as Pastels & Soca Brunch, R&B N Roses – Mother's Day Brunch, Bacchanal & Soca Brunch, and other premium experiences, we have established a reputation based on professionalism, quality, and consistency.
We therefore ask the public, our patrons, sponsors, partners, and supporters to note that any event using the Pastels & Soca name without our authorization should not be interpreted as being connected to or endorsed by Team Pastels & Soca Events.
We appreciate the continued support of everyone who has been part of our journey since 2022, and we remain committed to protecting the integrity of our brand while continuing to deliver exceptional experiences across Guyana.
