After Gemma and Horizon Touch, Set and Setting is another attempt to take you on a trip for 4 hours and 20 minutes.

The term Set and Setting was coined by Timothy Leary some decades ago, around the right use of psychedelics.

We use it in a slightly different way, but still the essence remains the same.

A cinema in a suitcase

There’s a moment we’ve now watched thousands of times. Someone sits down on a swivel chair, puts on a headset, and their whole posture changes. They lean back. They look around. Sometimes they laugh out loud in a room full of strangers. They are drifting away for a while.

That moment is what Poetics is built around.

We curate and distribute high-quality immersive experiences through new media. At scale.

That means we bring location-based VR (LBVR) screenings to festivals, brand activations, and gallery events. Anywhere an audience gathers.

Plug-and-play setups, programs running 10 to 50 minutes, and end-to-end service from installation to pack-down.

The immersive field is full of experiments. That’s why we focus on firsthand curation from hundreds of titles across our collaborating distributors. We’ve featured 19 up until today in more than 5.000 screenings during the past 7 months.

With a 4.92/5 average satisfaction score, an NPS of 9.6/10, and over 250 five-star Google reviews.

We’re proud of these numbers because immersive media has a reputation problem.

We build our own tools. Scaling live operations takes software, so we write it ourselves. Our event management system already runs every event we do. And our own streaming platform, with a creator-facing side for self-service content management, is a working prototype.

An incredible location, with inspiring people and artists connecting and discussing on rough cuts, short and feature films, experiencing immersive cinema for the very first time.

Light, beauty, and magical energy.

Hours before sailing to Anafi International Film Festival for one of the most beautiful locations on the planet to experience immersive cinema, Poetics exhibited our platform for operating immersive venues for the first time at BEYOND Expo 2026, held in Athens.

Two successful directors, Vassilis Kekatos (Milky Way) and Vardis Marinakis (The Great Chimera), got to experience what Poetics is about and we look forward to what we could create together for the global audience.

Finally, we would like to mention the incredible performance by Vassilikos Music the renowned Greek singer, songwriter, and frontman of the successful indie-pop band Raining Pleasure, who performed the whole album Reflections, by Manos Hadjidakis, at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus at the base of the Acropolis.

This is the kind of experience we want to bring to the global audience through immersive cinema.
