Το σχολικό λεωφορείο θα παραλαμβάνει τους μαθητές των 1ου, 2ου, 4ου και 8ου Δημοτικών Σχολείων, καθώς και του 2ου Γυμνασίου, από τη στάση του καταυλισμού, ακριβώς στις 7:15 π.μ.
Καταυλισμός Ελλήνων Τσιγγάνων στην περιοχή της Παγανής.

Παρακαλούνται οι γονείς να βρίσκονται εγκαίρως στη στάση και να έχουν τα παιδιά τους έτοιμα, με καθαρά ρούχα.

On European Roma Holocaust Memorial Day, ERIAC is pleased to host the release of the documentary “The Night of 2 August 1944” on its YouTube channel.

Built around four filmed conversations with some of the last French Shoah survivors, the documentary captures the memories of those who were in Auschwitz-Birkenau on the night of 2 August 1944 when the last Sinti and Roma were exterminated.

Their testimonies offer a rare perspective on a history that has too often been overlooked in public memory.

Based on an original idea by Noodels Demestre, the film is directed by Lise Foisneau with the participation of Valentin Merlin, Ritchy Thibault, and Ludovic Versace. It has received the support of ERIAC and EVZ Foundation, and the help of Louis Simon.

On Roma Genocide Remembrance Day, marked on August 2, we remember the hundreds of thousands of Roma murdered during the Second World War. The prejudice that enabled the genocide of the Roma did not end in 1945.

Today, anti-Roma discrimination continues to threaten lives, dignity, and democratic values across Europe and beyond.

To truly honor the memory of those murdered, we must ensure that the lessons of the past inform policies and attitudes today.

✨ Join us on 29 July for the opening of You Are All Our Children in One.

On the occasion of 2 August, the European Holocaust Memorial Day for Roma and Sinti, ERIAC presents a group exhibition exploring the persistence of eugenic ideologies after 1945 and the histories omitted from institutional memory.

Featuring works by Lindy Larsson, Emília Rigová, and Zsófia Takács, the show reveals the violence concealed behind the language of welfare, medicine, and progress. Its title borrows a sentence from Emília Rigová’s childhood, one whose meaning only became clear years later: “You Are All Our Children in One.”

At 18:30, Lindy Larsson will perform "Tschandala – The Romani Version", a critically acclaimed autobiographical work created together with Stefan Forss.

The evening features a surprise artistic moment by internationally acclaimed seven-string guitarist VADIK (Vadim Kolpakov).

The performance will be followed by an artist talk with Gwendolyn Albert, Stefan Fross, Lindy Larsson, Květoslava Podhradská, and Zsófia Takács. The discussion will be moderated by Anna Mirga-Kruszelnicka, Executive Director of ERIAC.

Romani Gili Contest 2026 ✨

The European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Romani Gili Contest 2026, a global initiative dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and promoting Roma musical heritage.

In Romani, “gili” means song. Roma songs have long functioned as living archives of history, emotion, and collective memory, passed from generation to generation. This contest invites participants worldwide to contribute to this ongoing cultural transmission.

✨ Participation requirements:

• Record a video of yourself performing a Roma song

• Publish it on Instagram or TikTok

• Include the hashtag

• Tag (Instagram) or .org (TikTok)

• Ensure the post remains publicly accessible

✨ Selection process:
• All submissions will undergo validation.
• Up to 20 entries will be shortlisted and evaluated through a combined system: 50% jury evaluation (independent experts) + 50% public engagement (likes, shares, comments)

✨ Prizes:
• First Prize: €2,000
• Second Prize: €1,000
• Third Prize: €500
