We invite submissions for Witnessing Issue 3, which will be published in December 2027. We welcome articles, short essays, audio essays and creative non-fiction on the themes explored by the journal from scholars, researchers, theorists, artists, and activists.

It is with great joy that we announce the inauguration of the annual, open-access journal “Witnessing: A Journal of Critical Humanities and Socially Engaged Arts”, created in the context of ERC MUTE (H2020): https://witnessing.eie.gr

Thoroughly interdisciplinary and multimodal, it wishes to create a critical space of dialogue and reflection about the sonic turn in the humanities, arts, social and political sciences. Its first issue “Listening as Witnessing" (December 2025) has been co-edited by Brandon LaBelle and Anna Papaeti. Website by Bend Design
