This sculpture was made and thanks to my amazing friends and fellow artists it has recently made its way back to me. Made in Bali, it travelled from Bali to Japan, from Japan to Singapore and Singapore to Athens.
It's so strange to see this piece in a different environment than the natural beauty of Ubud but art is incredible this way - it could have it's own life long after it leaves our hands at the studio and I am excited to discover what it means to me in a different place and time. A breath of new life, a new story, a stepping stone. Thank you for making this reunion possible I am forever grateful for your care, respect and kindness. 🙏🏼

Sketching for Facial expressions class I'll be teaching in August. I practice what I preach, I test every idea for my classes and think about them carefully before I put them out there. I like this part of teaching workshops- the research, the practice and finding best ways of putting them together.
