The most avant garde art project in Thessaloniki, this historical monument was turned into a cultural space that hosted theater, exhibitions, performances and music concerts without ever being a stage or a gallery! It kept transforming from one art activity to the next, maintaining its originality and architectural authenticity. With Stylianos Dokouz as the Cultural Curator, who allowed the building to breathe and contribute, the site-specific project thrived during the decade 2012 - 2022 and completed a full circle, its finale brought sadness upon the city's art community. The monument had to close its gates mainly due to the owners' misplaced and narrow-sighted intervention.
Rumours of an upcoming reactivation are yet to be confirmed.
