It's absolutely extraordinary and deeply inspiring to witness the sheer number of young Gambians actively registering their interest in politics and public service. This isn't just a ripple—it's a wave of energetic, ready-to-lead individuals taking ownership of the future. This is exactly what we have all hoped for: a generation seizing the reins to build the Gambia we know it can be!

To every young person stepping into the arena: Thank you. Your courage, energy, and commitment are the fuel for our nation's progress.

To all Gambians, as we look to the next political chapter, a critical shift in focus is needed. It’s time to tune out the noise and demand an agenda.

We know the problems. Every Gambian is intimately familiar with the challenges facing our hospitals, schools, and infrastructure. A politician who spends all their time reminding us of these common issues isn't showing leadership; they're just stating the obvious.

Enough is Enough, The Gambia Deserves BETTER. Our Future Demands It. 🇬🇲💔

For far too long, our beloved Gambia has been a stage for the same old political drama. Decades of promises, decades of hope, only to be met with the painful reality that many of our politicians have been more interested in their own gain than in the genuine upliftment of our people.

We've been tricked. We've been sidelined. We've seen our potential wasted while those in power offer no real solutions, only more rhetoric and division.

But Here’s the TRUTH: The Narrative is OURS to Change!

They will try to battle the young, the capable, the fresh voices who genuinely want to serve. They will unleash the noise, the distractions, and yes—the tempting notes designed to bribe our conscience and hijack our future.

We CANNOT, and we MUST NOT, fall for it again.

Tabax-Reewmi Movement Calls for Transparency and Accountability in the Death of Mr. Omar Badjie

The leader of The Tabax-Reewmi Movement HE Ahmadou M.H. Kah expresses its deepest concern over the tragic death of Mr. Omar Badjie of Mandinary, reportedly as a result of police manhandling. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and the entire community, who are now grappling with this painful loss.

We urge the Gambia Police Force (GPF) to immediately launch a swift, thorough, and impartial investigation into the circumstances that led to Mr. Badjie’s death. Such an investigation must be transparent, and the public should be regularly updated on its progress. We further call on the police to engage all relevant stakeholders, including the deceased’s family and their representatives, to ensure that the truth is uncovered and justice is served.

The primary duty of the police is to protect life and property. When citizens begin to fear those entrusted with their safety, it erodes trust and undermines peace in our society. Recent incidents involving the handling of protesters and young people raise serious concerns, as they suggest a disturbing trend of viewing citizens as criminals rather than partners in building a secure and prosperous Gambia.

The Government of The Gambia must recognize that no amount of brutality can suppress the voice or will of the people. What our security forces require today are clear policies, regulated procedures, and enhanced skills, particularly in communication, conflict management, and community engagement. Professional policing is the only path to earning and sustaining public respect.

We therefore call on both the GPF and the Government of The Gambia to take urgent, concrete, and meaningful action. Justice for Mr. Badjie is not only a duty to his family but also a reassurance to every Gambian that the right to life, an inviolable human right, will always be protected.
