A prominent Gambian Journalist and QTV News presenter Ansumana SO Nyassi was attacked and st*bed multiple times by armed robbers at his home in Latrikunda Sabi.

He was eventually rushed to the hospital where he's currently receiving medical treatment.
May he recover very soon.

This is very sad! Someone was passing by the graveyard of Tanji, and the person spotted a woman's dress being pinned on a mango tree. We don't know the reason why that person did this, but they may have intended to damage someone's spirituality. May Almighty Allah guide them back to the right path. Thanks to this kind-hearted man for rescuing an innocent soul.

A serious fire outbreak happened today in Tanji Jallow on Tobaski day. Everything was burned, including a large amount of dalasis and foreign currency. The actual cause of the fire is still unknown because no one was inside the room when it started. However, one of the family members believes it could have been caused by the constant on and off electricity since last night and this morning.

The family said they called the fire service many times, but they did not arrive on time because the fire service claimed that some people usually make false fire outbreak calls. Before they finally arrived, the neighbors came out in large numbers to help put out the fire. They even broke parts of the wall to gain easy access to the room and help stop the flames.

This is very painful, especially on Tobaski day, a very special day for Muslims. It is truly heartbreaking. May Almighty Allah make it easy for the family to recover some of their belongings and give them strength during this difficult moment. Ameen 🤲

Despite the prayers, support, and efforts from everyone, Allah has called him back home. Musa fought bravely until his very last breath.

We sincerely thank every single person who donated, shared the message, prayed for him, and stood by the family during this difficult time. Your kindness, love, and support will never be forgotten.

Today we mourn a brother, a friend, and a loved one gone too soon. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give strength and patience to his family and loved ones during this painful moment.

NAFFIE SANNEH HAS BEING LAID TO REST AT THE TANJI MAIN CEMETERY THIS EVENING!

Her untimely death left a bitter and painful period for her family, friends, relatives and the Gambians at large. A Nurse she dreamt of, abruptly cut short that she could've served to save lives and equally serve humanity across boundaries that no one can imagine. Her death, reminiscent of many of such we witnessed in recent times over the few years, vividly paints a picture of how the Gambia is increasingly and continuously becoming unsafe for everyone especially the women and children who are the most vulnerable in our society!

Mourners couldn't hold back their tears as her school mates wept in pain and uncertainty of what becomes of them in the future as they send their last respect to their murdered colleague. It was painful, and sorrowful as Mourners head towards the cemetery for her final resting abode.

We are strongly calling on the authorities especially the Gambia police force to redouble their efforts with utmost concern and urgency -- thoroughly investigate and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to face justice as soon as possible. We can not continue to lose our women in such a senseless and brutal way.

Something must be done and must be done now, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Naffie Sanneh, the murdered young girl in mysterious circumstances will be laid to rest today this evening as her body is been received by the family from the hospital and on their way coming to Tanji for burial.

She will be laid to rest imminently they arrived home because all is being done at the hospital and no waste of time as soon as they arrived.

May Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her soul and others departed souls before her the highest place in jannah.
