The Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame is the brainchild of the Gibraltar Live Music Society.

Annually our aim and target is to reward local musicians, bands and DJs from the past and present for their contributions to the Gibraltar Music Scene. The Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame since 2017 celebrates those that have paved the way by shaping what the Gibraltar Music Scene has become.

Just a quick note on behalf of us to inform you that the 2026 Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will now take place on Saturday 17th October.

The plan is all the same and we hope you join us as we honour six of the very best for their contributions to the Gibraltar Music Scene in the Class of 2026!

IN MEMORIAM

We are very saddened to have heard today the passing of Peter Aguilera.

Peter was a prominent fixture of our local music scene for many years and featured in many bands, most notably with La Tuna Calpe & Los Peninsulares.

We were fortunate enough to have him join us alongside fellow bandmate and longtime friend Alex Santos as we enshrined Los Peninsulares in our inaugural Induction Ceremony back in 2019.

Our most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

May he RIP ❤️

A smaller Class than we are used to but each Inductee has definitely contributed enough to be worthy of such an honour.

Morning all and Happy Friday!

We are proud this week and proud as to how satisfying our posts are becoming and even prouder because as opposed to waiting till Monday, we have already put tickets for this year's Ceremony on sale.

This year's Class is a rather small one and it is not because we haven't received nominations because trust us we have but because we feel that the more intimate, the better and that way we will also have more time to our Inductees to say a few words.

Next year will be a decade since we launched the Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame and the musicians as well as aficionados that we have enshrined since is like a who's who of local music and of course this is just the beginning.

We are limited as to how many tickets we can sell as the venue can only hold so many of us but rest assured that it will be a very intimate affair.

The cost of the ticket covers for your entry as well as the canapés that will be made available after the Ceremony. Drinks are to be paid separately to the venue.

Well, well..

Before we get to today's post, we would like to wholeheartedly thank every single person that likes, comments, shares and reacts to our posts, especially when it comes to the announcements of this year's Class.

For this year we have decided to keep it small and intimate by only honouring six recipients.. The more intimate the better and we can't wait to enshrine these persons for their wonderful contributions to local music!

To the point of today's post, we are beyond ecstatic to announce that the 2026 Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Friday 2nd October at 54 Dining & Cafe! We can't thank Leila Asquez Cervan, Allan Asquez and the rest of the 54 Team for always being so welcoming and for once again sponsoring our wonderful event.

Also sponsoring our event this year are El Ma****lo Ltd. & Gib Oil! Many thanks to these two local giants for their wonderful contribution to support our event.
