Prof. Dr. Onika P. Campbell-Rowe Wins Emerging Caribbean Leader Award

Jamaican-born humanitarian and human rights advocate Prof. Dr. Onika P. Campbell-Rowe has been named the recipient of the Emerging Caribbean Leader Award at this year’s Caribbean POSH Icon Woman Awards.

The three-day event, held June 27–29 in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, honoured exceptional Caribbean women who are driving change and making an impact in their professions and communities.

Prof. Dr. Campbell-Rowe serves as a United Nations Global Peace Ambassador under the Canadian International Chaplaincy Association and is the Executive Director/Patron of the Ekumfi Creative Arts Confederation. Her tireless work in peacebuilding, social development, and humanitarian advocacy earned her this recognition.

She also collaborates with ECOSOC-accredited NGOs and proudly holds the title of Nana of Ekumfi Swedru Traditional Area, continuing to bridge global influence with local tradition.

Award organisers hailed her as a “trailblazer” whose vision is inspiring a wave of young Caribbean leaders.

The Caribbean POSH Icon Woman Awards continues to shine a light on phenomenal women shaping the future of the Caribbean and its diaspora.

We were honored to have Mr. Bismarck Botchwey, CEO of Sintim Media, as an official Guest Speaker at the Creative Career Guidance Summit held at Ekumfi Essarkyir.

His insightful presentation focused on media marketing and branding, where he shared valuable strategies on how young creatives can position themselves in today’s competitive media and entertainment space.
