Globalization has opened new opportunities for sustained economic growth and the development of the world economy. It has also permitted countries and continents to share experiences and to learn from one another’s achievements and difficulties and has promoted a cross-fertilization of ideas, cultural values and aspirations. Thus it has helped to connect youth not only to the rest of the world, bu
t also with each other. In the attainment of MDGs goal 8, global partnership for development, there is the need for the youth to play an active role as actors of development through entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships aimed at sustainable development. In view of this, there has been a greater need to establish platforms that seek to bring youth from across the globe to work as a team to promote strategic partnership, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
