I have finally solved the mystery behind calling Mackerel- Salmon in 🇬🇭.

I was today years old when I found out that the Ga word for Mackerel is Samañ - a word that many have lost in translation in pronunciation to be “Salmon”.

So it is not 🇬🇭’s fish mongers calling mackerel by the wrong English name - but y’all interpreting their Ga name as a English one… all of you who have been making fun of our market women selling fish thinking that they can’t speak “Good English” or don’t know the difference between Mackerel and Salmon- Aunty Naa and Co. have been trying to tell you that you rather can’t speak Ga🤷🏾‍♀️🧐😅🤣🤣😜

Know the Ga names for readily available fishes caught in the Gulf of Guinea🦈🦞🦀.

People of Bor have graduated Six PhDs holders in Australia.

They sent out a challenge to their brothers and sisters of Bahr El Ghazal to present their PhD holders for public to know.

The challenge has been trending for days and no response from people of Bahr El Ghazal.

Professor Francis Kofi Ampenyin Allotey was a Ghanaian mathematical physicist. He became the first Ghanaian to obtain a doctorate in mathematical sciences, earned in 1966.

He was known for the "Allotey Formalism" - the technique used to determine matter moves in outer space.

Prof. Allotey was a founding fellow of the African Academy of Sciences, in 1974, and became the first Ghanaian full Professor of Mathematics and Head of the Department of Mathematics and later Dean of the Faculty of Science at the KNUST.
