The Cry

A production proposed to empower individuals who struggle with emotional pain, and depression in silence, to seek counseling instead of committing su***de.

Trinidad and Tobago has the 3rd highest su***de rate in the region. It's sad that the people who commits these su***des has no knowledge on where their souls go, and doesn't even study the grief they put their family through. This is a production proposed to help these individuals ages 14 years and over, through dance, song, mime, spoken word, drama, etc. This production has been implemented by a

young lady named Chantalle Worme for her final thesis. She has a heart toward suicidal persons and would like to help them by using her talent and giftings, with the help of the Almighty God.

Good morning everyone, this analogy is interesting.

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Well because someone bumped into me, of course!"

*Wrong answer.*

You spilled the coffee because there was _coffee_ in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled _tea_.

*Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.*

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. _It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled._

*So we have to ask ourselves... _"what's in my cup?"_*

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?

Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

You choose!

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation for ourselves; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Take this day 10th October 2018 to support by wearing green. “Not every disability is visible”.
Mental health is the biggest public health issue that we face in T&T and are not facing it at all. The stigmatization of mental illness is harmful, particularly in that it makes mental illness and those living with it invisible.
On 10th October 1992 World Health Federation for Mental Health, alongside members and contacts in more than 150 countries, took the initiative of celebrating this World Mental Health Day to bring global awareness of mental illnesses, its major effects on people’s lives, and advocacy against social stigma.
