Flavours of Hope An Evening of Great Food, Community & Connection.

We’re so excited for Flavours of Hope, a special fundraising evening organised by RAY (Refugee Action York) taking place on Friday, 7 November, at 7 p.m. at The Citadel, York.
Join us for a beautifully prepared meal from Yahala Mataam CIC, York’s much-loved pop-up restaurant and social enterprise. It promises to be a night full of flavour, connection, and celebration all in support of RAY’s ongoing community work.

Important PARKING INFO for Homestead Park Festival: Here is Hope

Our usual car park on Shipton Road is being made available for Blue Badge Holders only on 5-6th July. If you require a parking space for access but don't have a Blue Badge, don't worry! You can email [email protected]

There is no public parking at Homestead Park for the festival.

Here’s how to get here with ease (and no stress!):

🚌 FREE Shuttle Bus
Running at approximately 15 minute intervals all weekend between Memorial Gardens (Leeman Road) and the festival — just turn up and hop on! Please be aware that not every shuttle bus is wheelchair accessible.
📍 Sat 5 & Sun 6 July, 9:45am–6pm

🚶‍♀️ Walk
It’s just 25 mins from York city centre or 20 mins from the train station.

🚲 Cycle-Friendly
Enjoy a scenic riverside ride and park your bike at designated areas near entrances on Shipton Road and Water End.

🅿️ Need to drive?
Use Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride — the bus drops you a short walk from the festival.

Please be considerate to our neighbours and avoid parking in the residential streets and note that many of our local streets including Government House Road, Westminster Road, Ouse Lea Estate and Greencliffe Drive are all residents only parking.
