NEW SHOW ANNOUNCE ā˜€ļø

Very excited to be starting ā€˜introducingā€™ gigs at Yorkā€™s best pub. There wonā€™t be many, just a few a year, highlighting up and coming musicians I believe everyone should fall in love with too. Couldnā€™t be more pleased to be kicking it off with the incredible Zoe Cure!

FREE ENTRY- PAY AS YOU FEEL

Zoe is an indie-folk artist based in Leeds. Drawing influence from celebrated contemporary songwriters such as Adrianne Lenker, Laura Marling and Angel Olsen. In October this year she will be releasing her highly anticipated debut album ā€˜Waveā€™: a deeply emotive and intimate collection of songs exploring themes of love, loss, solitude and the cyclical patterns of the
natural world.

Since releasing her EP ā€˜Two Piano Songsā€™ in 2022, Cure has supported the likes of acclaimed artists such as Allegra Kriegar, Helena Deland and folk legend Martin Carthy. The raw emotional honesty of Cureā€™s vocals, intricate finger-picked guitar and powerfully poetic lyricism have prompted comparisons to acclaimed songwriters Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and Billie Marten.

EXCITING SHOW ANNOUNCEšŸ’„ This August bank holiday, we bring you an authentic H***y Tonk with live music from Arkansasā€™ Dylan Earl, New Orleansā€™ Slow Motion Cowboys and H.B.Whitman (of āœµ Trip Westerns āœµ).

The night will even feature a short two-step lesson from Dylan himself!

Describing Earlā€™s catalogue as ā€œan exploration of identityā€ is fitting. He offers a poignant nostalgia, history and refreshingly progressive approach to country and western music. Earl is a welcome, original voice in the scene, finding favour in mainstream and alternative spaces alike as a loveable, alt-country hippie. Charming and direct, heā€™s easy to root for, and has spent many hours behind the wheel, driving to play for you. Sharing stages with other fan favourites like labelmate Nick Shoulders, Willi Carlisle, Esther Rose, Judy Blank, Emily Nenni, Rattlesnake Milk, and The Deslondes across the USA and the EU/UK, Earl has honed his performance and craft for nearly a decade.

The Slow Motion Cowboys bring us their country-rambling, lively, dancefloor-ready New Orleans h***y-tonk all the way to us in Leeds!

Whitmans music is rooted in the storytelling traditions of artists like Kris Kristofferson, Guy Clark, and John Prine, his music walks the line between reverence and observation with equal parts sincerity and dry humour.

Doors 7pm. Link below!
