It’s a big, big astrological day tomorrow - 17th February! A New Moon in Aquarius, a Solar Eclipse - which shows as a ring of fire over Antarctica, and also the start of the Chinese New Year of The Fire Horse! The last time the Fire Horse visited was in 1966! All these energies together are a special event!
This is a time of new beginnings and transformation. Many of us went through tough times in 2025, dealing with change, shocks, unexpected turmoil, huge emotions and alarming events. It wasn’t a time to panic but to knuckle down and deal with situations in a quiet and constructive way with the intent of gaining the best outcome. This was the Year of The Snake; a wise, patient and strategic creature that sheds its skin. This year taught many of us that change was needed, it needed us to re-evaluate ourselves and our lives, it asked us whether we are being true to ourselves or are we living as other people expect us to? This was a year of long, slow transformation that needed to be thought about and actioned gently and constructively in the shadows and safety of our own environments. What do we want in our lives and what do we no longer need? It was time to shed our own skins.
You are likely to have had many thoughts about the past recently and many revelations that may now make you view those times differently. Re-examining them has helped to clarify your needs for the future and highlighted the need to move away from them and any emotions still attached. They serve no purpose now.
So today, to make you ready for your new beginnings, shed that last bit away, tidy up and seal off any loose ends and clear the way to welcome The Fire Horse!
The Fire Horse is not a gentle energy and has no patience whatsoever! Its energy causes upheaval and disruption and it is ready for action! It rewards those who are ready to move forward in their world - it wants you to step into your authentic future- the one you want even if you feel you’re not totally ready! It loves quick and precise decisions and those who will embrace opportunity when it presents itself! It admires courage and taking leaps of faith! It encourages that new confidence you have in yourself and loves you to use your instincts and speak your absolute truth! This is so valuable if your new path is not straightforward. Having the ability to to adapt to change is fortuitous.
This is your chance to be the real you and do the things you want or need to do for yourself. Let go of the past that is no longer good for you or brings you down. Close the book on what you cannot change and don’t allow it to determine your future. This Horse rewards being honest and true to yourself, your feelings and intentions. Stirring bravery into the mix just adds to the magic!
You may find that over the next couple of days that things will fall into place and suddenly make sense - a bit like a light going on in your head! You are likely to feel unsettled or slightly edgy over the next 48 hours, but this will pass.
It is important though to NOT manifest at this New Moon as you might normally do! The energies are too strong and unpredictable, so just go with the flow and let them do what they need even if they are disruptive to you.
