ONLY 4 DAYS TO GO! I’ll be heading off to Devon early Thursday morning so I can start setting up my booth for Bovey Tracey this week! I’ll be exhibiting at the show in the Start Up Tent, where I’ll be surrounded by other first timers to the event. Not going to lie, there is a lot of anxiety right now about getting everything packed and prepped but I’m sure it’ll be fine 😅 I’ve got a serious looking looking packing checklist that I’m sure will see me through!

You’ll find me in marquee D, stand 9 from Friday 12th through to Sunday 14th 10-5pm. Hope to see you there!

More updates to come…

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! 🌈 Thought I’d share a little about my personal journey today, as some of you may know I love clay but you might not know that I’m not just a potter, I’m a q***r non-binary potter 😅

Pride has become very commercialised in my opinion, and although it’s great that people are more aware of it, I also think the protest part can get forgotten about these days.

There is still so much stigma around the LGBTQIA+ community, especially with trans people and people of colour. With everything going on inside and outside the UK, the world can feel like a scary place to be yourself at the moment. We need to remember, more than ever, that PRIDE IS A PROTEST FOR OUR RIGHTS.

We need people outside the community to fight the cause too and help push for vital change. If you’re wondering how you can help here are some ways…

🌈 Educate yourself.
🌈 Show up as an ally & advocate (at work & home)
🌈 Write to your local MP
🌈 Shop q***r-owned
🌈 Support/donate - I’d like to spotlight the charity who help young lgbtqia+ people who are at risk or experiencing homelessness

All that being said, pride is also a moment to celebrate the beautifully unique people that make up the LGBTQIA+ community and how far we have come.

Shout out to the amazing human that is who did my surgery. He is educating others in healthcare on gender-affirming care, he has his own podcast The Top Surgery Podcast (available on Spotify) and alongside all that advocating and educating he is changing the lives of trans people every day by providing essential, life saving surgery. 🌈

Happy Pride everyone!
