Evening all .

Sorry we were shut today as I have had a painful rib injury and the busy weekend at marine finished my pain level threshold to the limit .

Cover was available but I thought it was going to be poor weather . A mistake of judgment by me to be fair . Sorry about that .

As being new to the opening of marine . It tends to be too quiet in the week , some days only taking £20-£30 pounds .

I am learning regulars and will open all the time if viable .

We are not open Tuesday as no cover but we are open Wednesday and then Friday and every day after that until bad weather .

Good news the Marine Gardens World Putting Championships is going to get underway from July 1st .

August Bank Holiday Weekend

£1 of every green fee , that is used for qualifying is going to be donated to Friends of Marine Gardens , towards the upkeep of Marine gardens flowerbeds and the purchase of more exotic flowers 🌷 for surrounding areas.

Also any monies taken on finals day will go towards the pot also .

Morning all . Once again bad weather stops play today .

I am their to work on the green as long as the green is not flooded .

Due to a lack of sand in the green the ground is too compact, and not draining correctly.

We are planning full renovation this winter .
I have ordered holo tine machines and spreaders along with 6 blokes to try and get this green under control.

As from the 29th October when proper work commences, we intend to sort the green and open for Christmas for a few days weather permitting.

Worthing has had a putting green at Marine Gardens since the 1930’s. And as a golf lover I hope to have the opportunity to run the putting green at a high standard for many years.

I opened this year at Easter 🐣 and have been overwhelmed by the lovely comments of thanks and the well dones by locals and the public .

It has inspired me to try my best and hope to get this green up to high beach green standards .

I have a meeting with Worthing Borough Council to talk about future goals and possible opportunities to Marine Gardens and to try and make Marine Gardens their flagship beach location.

G.U.R ⛳️

Our putting green is going through some “Ground Under Repair” maintenance this week after a busy half term period.

Helping us prepare for a even busier Summer holidays coming up to keep improving our surface. Ready for all the warm scorching sunshine.☀️

We shall remain closed this week until Saturday morning to allow the essential work to be carried out and allow the green to soak up all the much needed rain we have this week.

Look forward to seeing some of you from this Saturday going forward once the weather clears.🦩

Hot again today but at marine gardens there is a nice cooling breeze.

Don’t forget 9 holes are available on the green, following yellow flags, if you only want a shorter round. Approximately 20-30 mins.

FLAMINGOS POINT THE WAY FOLKS.

Also 18 holes here and the arrows point the way.

Five pounds and you can play all day ⛳️
