The Ventura Community orchestra recently had the pleasure of performing for the children of Broadheath primary school. We entertained them with some exciting music, they experienced the joy of hearing live music and some superb story telling from Ian. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen. I’m sure the children will remember this for a long time. 🎶🎶🎶

2026 will mark the 10 year anniversary of music for adults! I’ve been very fortunate that I have had the support of some stalwart students who have backed me in everything I have done. BUT…..it has been a huge amount of work, effort, research, patience and tenacity too. I now run weekly groups, individual lessons, a monthly community orchestra and regular A Day of Cellos workshops around 100 students involved on a regular basis. During recent years I have often been asked by others where I find my students, venues, and resources. The answer is by hours looking, buying or arranging what hasn’t been arranged, researching and never losing the enthusiasm that working with adults gives me. It’s hard work, I rarely switch off but I still love it all as much as the day it all started.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved and watch this space for a proper ‘do’ to celebrate in 2026

The Ventura Community Orchestra is a friendly group of 25+ woodwind and string players who meet one Friday afternoon per month at Little Witley Village Hall, near Worcester. We enjoy rehearsing a wide variety of music and are currently enjoying some Schubert, Ketelby and Mendelssohn. New members always welcome 🎶🎶🎶
