Music Spoken Here is a project set up in 2022 to support exceptional live music in the West Midlands area, with a focus on modern jazz fusions, funk, soul and world music. We showcase exceptional artists and bands from around the country with events every other Thursday at The Marrs Bar in Worcester city centre. Our program has included established artists such as Yolanda Charles, Jason Rebello, P

aul & Jeremy Stacey, Alex Hitchcock, Paul Booth, Ryan Quigley and younger artists such as Tom Ford, Corrie Dick, Dan Lockheart, Rosie Frater-Taylor. We've also had two of the last 8 Young Drummer of the Year winners (Nathan Shingler & Tom Potter) and three-time finalist Zoe Pascal. Instead we operate a 'pay-what-you-can' on the door model, with the suggested contribution of £10-15 for most events. We also offer Club Membership, which includes entry to all our shows for just £18 per month.

𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰!
Haven't done one of these for a while, but we're gearing up for the new autumn season starting in September with an extra show added to accommodate a special gig from Brazilian Frederico Heliodoro.

Frederico has released six albums and several EPs and singles over the last 15 years. In 2016 he joined Kurt Rosenwinkel's Caipi band, touring the world. In 2022 he joined Milton Nascimento for his farewell 'A Última Sessão de Música' tour.

In September, he embarks on his European tour, performing just two dates in the UK - Wed 16 at The Vortex Jazz Club in London and Thu 17th at The Marrs Bar, Worcester.
